Finnish Bioindustries FIB appoints Alexandra Peth as Managing Director

Finnish Bioindustries long-term director Carmela Kantor-Aaltonen is retiring in August 2023. M.Sc. Alexandra Peth has been appointed as her successor, in a  Managing Director role for Finnish Bioindustries starting on August 1st, 2023.



Finnish Bioindustries FIB appoints Alexandra Peth as Managing Director


Alexandra currently works as Senior Advisor of innovation and finance at Chemical Industry Federation of Finland. She will continue working for Chemical Industry Federation of Finland beside her role as Managing Director of Finnish Bioindustries.



“Finnish Bioindustries FIB is a trusted partner among stakeholders, and I am very proud for the opportunity to represent our member companies and make our voice even clearer in the social and political debate. Bioindustry has a promising future ahead as biotechnology will be an important enabler for new innovations, products and services for green transition and health sector,” says Alexandra Peth.

“Alexandra’s knowledge of sustainability and green transition will bring new possibilities to Finnish Bioindustries that will strengthen the voice of biotech industry and drive the industry’s development and visibility further,” says Maarit Merla, Chair of the Finnish Bioindustries Board.

“We also want to thank warmly our long-term director Carmela Kantor-Aaltonen for her devoted services for Finnish Bioindustries,” says Merla.

Finnish Bioindustries FIB is Finland's biotechnology industry association, established in 1997. It is a private, independent non-profit organisation.
