Turku Clinical Biomaterials Centre — TCBC provides modern research infrastructure and highly skilled laboratory staff for local researchers and international visiting scientists. These facilities provide the environment for conducting high quality research in an academic atmosphere with superb contact with the world-wide biomaterial industry. The research conducted at the Department of Biomaterials Science, at the Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Dentistry, University of Turku takes place at TCBC.

TCBC belongs to NIOM Biomaterial Network and Turku University Centre for Materials and Surfaces – MATSURF laboratories. TCBC works actively in ISO (International Standardization Organization) committees on biomaterials. TCBC is one of the key research infrastructures of the university.

TCBC is a core-facility laboratory where you can carry out research with top-class infrastructure. We have expertise on non-metallic biomaterials in medicine and dentistry.
