Biocenter Finland (BF) is a distributed national research infrastructure providing research services in life sciences and biomedicine to the entire Finnish research community, in academia and industry, and to a limited extent also to users abroad. Operationally BF is organized into technology platforms providing techology services in key areas of life sciences/biomedicine. Through its infrastructure networks Biocenter Finland is also actively involved in the development pan-European infrastructures on the ESFRI Roadmap. BF is a joint effort of 5 biocenters in 6 Finnish universities: Universities of Eastern Finland, Helsinki, Oulu, Tampere and Turku and the Åbo Akademi University.
